This 1980’s office campus was transformed into high quality and collaborative workspace by introducing an atrium consisting of an internal street and entry hall.

Selected areas of the existing floor plates were extended out into the atrium to form meeting spaces and a link bridge spanning the top of the atrium was introduced for further connectivity.

The key architectural feature of the triple-height entry space was realised with detailed performance-based analysis involving multi-scenario fire, smoke and people movement modelling. All three buildings feature multi-storey interconnecting stairs over four levels that allow occupants to move seamlessly around the floor space.

Consideration of the fire and life safety challenges throughout the construction period allowed for a progressive occupation of the building such that business operations continued throughout the refurbishment process.
