The site is complex, featuring a council-adminsitered creative hub, retail spaces, new public realm space and the retention of the heritage-listed Water Board building.

The performance-based design approach allowed for the retention of the existing instruction from the existing 1960s commercial building located on the site. Project stakeholders were involved throughout the fire engineering design process to ensure the correct balance of safety, function and form.

The end result is an iconic and influential statement that will articulate the Sydney skyline for years to come.
